6 of August, day of the Argentine Veterinarian

The 6 of August are the day of the veterinarian in Argentina thanks to that in that
day of 1883 the classes of the Superior Institute of Agronomy and Veterinary medicine were inaugurated
in the estate of Santa Catherine in the locality of Llavallol, pcia. of Good
Airs.
There were many no interested and as soon as only three students (Chevallier registered,
Agote and Martinez).
The veterinarians in all the national territory (graduates abroad)
they did not pass the some thirty.
The things have changed.
Today they are more than the 15,000 professionals who exert in the country and hundreds of
young people struggle to enter to the race.
Only one things has stayed intact: from at least 1885 always we have ourselves
complained the state in which is the profession. It has been a very good excuse
in order to condemn to the forgetfulness all those that made the national veterinary medicine great.
Today it is a propitious day to leave the complaints to a side and to remember, by nothing
more than a minute, of those who preceded to us and they opened the tranqueras to us of
fields that did not know the existence of a veterinary science.
