* The reptiles will have to be outside the house in those homes where they inhabit smaller children of 5 years, old and inmunosuprimidas people, as well as if soon a baby will arrive.
* They do not have to be allowed to the reptiles to vagar freely throughout the house.
* The reptiles must be remote of kitchens and other areas of preparation of meals to prevent the contamination. *No must be used the washbasin of the kitchen to bathe the reptiles or to wash their plates, cages or aquariums. If the bathtubs for these intentions are used, they must clean themselves completely and must become disinfected with hipoclorito of Sodium (lavandina)

The salmonellosis can be fatal, mainly in children and inmunosuprimidas people. Due to the increase of the popularity of reptiles and amphibians like domestic animals, the salmonellosis incidence could increase, if the owners are not informed into the risks for the health when having these animals.
