In order to explain what means Dog-Guide, it is necessary to analyze the true meaning that has east concept for the user, who really, is going to be his permanent companion. -

A Governing being exists, that is the federation the International of Schools of Dogs Guides, composed approximately by 61 partners or schools distributed everywhere. -

In order to belong to this Federation, before an inspection based on the used methods of work, the means must go which it is had and to take a sufficient number of years working in the subject. -

They are generally Foundations or Dog-Guide Clubs those that work in the specialty, whose primary targets are to facilitate of form direct or arranged the acquisition of Dog-Guide for people with blindness or visual deficiency, like mobility means that increases the security and autonomy of its displacements and in this way to contribute to the attainment of the maximum possible level of social integration of its beneficiaries. -

Within its functional structure the existence of several Technical Departments stands out destined to raise, to educate, to train, and to give Dog-Guide including, also advising functions. - All this support not only takes place before and during the stay of the users in the School or Foundation, but that it extends to all the life of the Unit of Work (User-Dog). -

The facilities which they have these Schools have been designed to respond to the necessities of the dogs from their birth, to their final location as guides. - Normally they are equipped with canine residence, delivery room, Veterinary Clinic with consultation, operating room, room of postoperative, block of puppies, training, isolation, and tracks of exercises, as well as parks or spaces outdoors for the relaxation of the dogs. - In addition to these facilities it is counted generally on a Residence in which the Courses of the daily activity of the rest of the Center are distributed independently. -

The races of dogs used habitually for the work of Dog-Guide are basically 3: Retriever- farmer German Shepherd - Golden Retriever, these races work excellently, as it already indicates the experience of the different Centers from the world for more than 60 years. -
